THE ART OF MEL CASIPIT

Yesterday Me and my friends attended the Summer Komikon 2010 at UP Bahay ng Alumni QC Philippines. We arrived there sometime after 10am. We fell in line before entering paid P50 then finally set-up the Indie Table assigned to me, well that was the only vacant table so we took it. I sold my latest comics creation Baboy 2 as well as my old comics that includes Baboy, MLU, EDSA, and DogStyle. Present also in my table is 8 Oras of my housemate Roelito and Pinoy Komiks Rebyu by Randy Valiente the same person who wrote EDSA. There were many peolple and komiks and toys and everything, I was not able to roam around that much though because I'm stuck at my table selling my comics.At first nobody seems to find me because my table is on the far corner with a huge post blocking the view. Then a litter later people started walking by, browsing and buying my comics which made me very happy. At the end of the day only a few copies of my comics are left, Baboy2, MLU and Dogstyle were sold out!...

I just got home from a trip to UP Diliman QC. That is the only place I know which can give me a quality copy of my mini-comics. After logging-out at the office by 1pm I headed straight to the UP campus, I don't mind the heat of the sun, I don't mind my headache, I don't mind my lack of sleep, just to get my comics copied, and no I am not angry. Anyway, The name of the stall is YZA, it is located in the shopping center inside the UP Campus. I had my Baboy and Mlu Comics photocopied 20 copies each. POST-KOMIKON EXPERIENCE Oct 19, 2009 Yes I now its a bit late but its better later than later :) What a really great day that was! The recently concluded Komikon 2009 at the Megamall, Megatrade Hall 1, yesterday Oct 18. I really enjoyed the event even though I was not able to go around that much, I still get to make sure that I get the things that only at such event that I can get in just one round.:) After my work shift from 12:30am - 9:30am(graveyard shift)I head directly to the Megamall just a few blocks from office at Shaw Blvd. I was with my friend Roel who assisted me in gettting my things in order and stayed at my table when I need to go arround to buy some things. B ukas na ang Komikon 2009 (http://komikon.deviantart.com). Sa Megamall megatrade Hall1, Mandaluyong city. Ready na rin ang mga ibebenta naming copya ng mga komiks namin, kasama ko bukas si Roel , schoolmate ko dati sa PSU (Pangasinan State University). sa UP kami nagpa-xerox ng kopya, kala nga namin hinde kami aabot, gabi na kasi kami dumating dun pagkatpos ng trabaho ni Roel(Programmer siya) buti na lang 8pm pa daw sila magsasara. Additional copies ang mga pinagawa namin, nakapagpacopya na kasi kami dati, bale 40 copies ang dala namin.
