Cheesyfit 8 Illustration: Butter is Better!

Image
"Hinding-hindi kita bibigyan ng margarine… kasi, you deserve butter" I'm drawing some new illustrations for Cheesyfit 8. I drew this in Clip Studio Paint. I hope the block of butter looks the part. My partner said it looks like a brick, lol!

I Created a Kenkoy Fan art! #Komiks

Image
I want to share the Kenkoy fan art I created last 2022.  Francisco "Kenkoy" Harabas is a Philippine comics character created by writer Romualdo Ramos and cartoonist and illustrator Tony Velasquez in 1929. Velazquez continued the strip for decades after Ramos' death in 1932. - Wikipedia You can see more of my work in my website .

Friends Komiks and Memories at SuperManila Comic Con 2025

Image
SuperManila Comic Con 2025 was such a fun and memorable experience! I had the chance to reconnect with friends, take photos during the event, and share my komiks and merchandise with attendees. I’m very grateful to everyone who supported my work and brought home a copy of my comics or merch. A big thank you also goes to SKP for providing us with such a great spot at the event—it really made the experience even better. Events like these remind me why the komiks community is so special: it’s all about creativity, connection, and shared passion. Looking forward to the next one!

What Made Free Comic Book Day 2025 Special for Me

Image
I had a blast at Free Comic Book Day 2025 ! The event was held last May 3 at Robinsons Galleria’s Main Atrium, from 10 AM to 6 PM. Big thanks to Comic Odyssey’s Sandy Sansolis, Ma’am Rowena Sansolis, and the entire team for the warm welcome and for taking care of us throughout the day. I’m really grateful for the invite! I arrived around noon and went straight to my table, where I was seated with Ian Velasquez of Velasquez Characters. Fun fact: Ian is the grandnephew of Tony Velasquez, the father of Pinoy Komiks and the creator of Kenkoy —who’s turning 100 soon! But I digress. As part of the tradition, every attendee received two free comics. I got mine too—thanks to Ian who lined up and grabbed copies for us! At my table, I set up and displayed copies of Lingon , Parekoys Comics , a full set of Sikami Vol. 1 to 8, some Sikami art prints, and Kalye Cats refrigerator magnets. I’m happy to share that by the end of the day, I sold the Sikami set and a few copies of Lingon , m...

Bringing Stories to Life: Outreach Program Illustration for My Client

Image
I recently worked on this illustration for a client’s outreach program video project. This piece was created as part of a storyboard frame , helping visualize key moments before production. Storyboarding is an essential step in storytelling, allowing ideas to take shape and ensuring a smooth creative process. I love working on projects that highlight meaningful initiatives like outreach programs. Visual storytelling plays a big role in making these efforts more engaging and impactful. If you're looking for custom illustrations or storyboards for your next project, feel free to reach out! Chef Caricatures

Image
I had been contacted by my long FB friend to do a chef commission. I was hesitant at first as the Komikon 2012 is fast approaching, but I accepted it anyway. I really missed drawing caricatures its been a while since I last drew one. I was happy with the result as well the person who did the commission. I hope the persons I made the caricature for also loved their caricature. Looking forward for more caricatures in the future. These caricatures where done in the month of October of 2012.

Love Illustrations Revived

Image
Just recently I was able to try out using paint tool sai, I wanted to practice making artworks digitally. You see I had always been traditional, but you can't escape change, so I did. These artworks are part of my love illustration collection sketches done last quarter of 2011. I did those drawings as a past time, and emotional diversion. At that time I was really depressed and heart broken (a bit :)) so I envisioned love couples and so I drew. A lot of people love those sketches when I post them on FB so I continued doing those sketches even though I'm already over the emotional stress.
